We’re so happy and proud to announce that Hudson Valley Tech Meetup has been recognized with an “Innovator of the Year” Award from Th!nk Dutchess.
Th!nk Dutchess Alliance for Business is a business-led, nationally recognized economic development corporation dedicated to attracting, retaining, and expanding for-profit and not-for-profit businesses in Dutchess County. (While EMN is located in Ulster County, HV Tech meets every other month on the other side of the river in Poughkeepsie, where our HV Tech co-founders Digital Empire are based.) Th!nk Dutchess’ Business Excellence Awards are intended to celebrate businesses and nonprofit organizations making a significant economic impact in Dutchess County.

In a ceremony held on November 10, our principals Kale Kaposhilin and Dan Stone joined Sabrina and Dan Schutzsmith of Digital Empire to accept the Innovator of the Year Award, sponsored by the Poughkeepsie Journal.

HV Tech was started by these four people, but has expanded to include many organizers and active participants in the past two years (including many amazing members of our own team here at Evolving Media). That’s part of the reason the group has grown and improved, Kale explained as the team accepted the award—HV Tech is successful because it’s an inclusive environment that welcomes others to shape its path. It’s a reflection of the community, and it wouldn’t be sustainable—or even relevant—without community engagement.
So for that, we say thank you to the amazing people that have made HV Tech what it is. This award is really for all of us, and we look forward to the next year of innovation, creativity, and community!
